McIntosh Wins Second Consecutive Hangover 40

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – There is no better way to start off a new year and a new season than with a dominating win and that is exactly what Donald McIntosh and the Blount Motorsports team did when they won the Hangover 40 at 411 Motor Speedway on January 1.

McIntosh was the fastest qualifier and started on the outside front row of the 40- lap event. He would out run pole sitter Ray Cook to take the lead on the first lap and would lead the next 39 circuits for the season opening win.

“This wasn’t the new XR1 car from Rocket, but it was the new blue front end car that replaced the one that died at Eldora. We were able to apply some of the new technology and the car was awesome,” said McIntosh. “What a great confidence boost going into the season.”

Everyone at Hyperco and MW Industries congratulates Donald and the entire team on the first win of the 2016 season. As always….Blount Motorsports relies on Hypercoils for the performance and consistency needed to win the big ones…year after year!
