SEMA 2018: Hyperco High-Performance UTV Spring Kits

Coming to you from beautiful Las Vegas and loaded with off-road attitude, is this exclusive look at the latest round of tightly-wound engineering from Hyperco, with its all-new, high-performance spring kits for UTVs. Branching away from its well-known catalog of springs, the aftermarket-suspension brand has begun engineering what it calls “turn-key kits” for the UTV market.

Hyperco’s display showed how the dual-spring setup works. Next to the demo display were the crossover rings that join both springs together in the high-performance kit.

By conducting their own in-house vehicular engineering tests, Hyperco was able to create a line of springs for popular models from Can-Am and Polaris, and more, with Yamaha coming out in a bit. Featuring a dual-spring design with a crossover ring in the center, this simple, yet effective spacer positioned between the two pieces of wound metal, prevents the secondary spring from compressing further, thus allowing superior performance and ride quality.

It’s an all-in-one kit too, complete with springs, sliders, and all of the necessary locking crossover perch components. The kits are tested and rated for improved compression, ride quality, and rebound, both in low- and high-speed conditions. Each Hyperco kit is designed to appeal to owners of stock UTV models that are unhappy with the way their machine rides, and wish to up their off-road prowess a few pegs.

A handful of kits for Polaris two-seater models are already in stock and ready to ship, with Polaris and Can-Am four-seater spring kits are coming sometime next month. According to Hyperco, the forthcoming kits will cover the Can-Am X3 X DS (both two and four-seaters), as well as the Polaris four-seat turbo and non-turbo next month. This lineup will then be topped-off by a spring kit for the Can-Am Maverck X3 X RS, which should be available for purchase toward the end of 2018.
