Dave Cain Racing Weekly Update

July 20th- Kicking off the July racing swing, Dave Cain Racing (DCR) headed up to the AMSOIL Speedway for the 2nd annual $10,000 to win Great Lakes Border Battle. With 50 Modifieds checking in. The 2c would end finishing in a solid 2nd place in the 60 lap feature. From there DCR headed down to Rice Lake Speedway for the Annual Firecracker special. Dave started 6th in the heat and finished 2nd. After the redraw was completed, Dave would start 7th in the 20 lap feature. Weaving his way through traffic, Dave found himself in a battle for the lead with 8 to go. The 2c would end up pulling away, picking up win #4 on the year.

The next weekend of racing kept DCR close to home with shows at the Granite City Speedway and the Ogilvie Raceway. Friday night at Granite City, Dave started 6th in the heat and charged up to 2nd. Starting 7th in the feature, Dave weaved through traffic picking up the lead on lap number 9. He would go on to pick up the win and #5 on the year. Saturday night at the Ogilvie Raceway Dave started 6th in the heat and finished 3rd. During the 20 lap feature, Dave charged from the 11th starting spot to battling for the lead on the white flag lap. Dave pulled off turn 4 with a 3 car length lead to pick up win #6 on the year!

This past weekend, DCR headed out to South Dakota with the Advantage RV Modified Tour. Friday night at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen. Dave won the heat from the pole. Started 5th in the feature, battling for the lead with 3 to go, but ended up a solid 3rd. Saturday brought DCR to Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, SD. Home of the WISSOTA 100 in September. Dave won the heat from the pole. Started 6th in the feature and finished in another solid top 5 position in 4th. The final night brought Dave and the team to Miller Central Speedway in Miller, SD. Dave started 4th in the heat and finished 2nd. He then started 6th in the feature and with a late race pass for the lead, picked up win #7 on the year!
